COURT FEES INCREASE: NEW AMOUNTS SINCE 8 SEPTEMBER
Since September 8, 2024, new amounts of state fees in arbitration and civil courts have come into force, in accordance with the Federal Law dated August 8, 2024, No. 259 "On Amendments to the First and Second Parts of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation and Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation on Taxes and Fees." The changes have affected numerous areas, including property claims, administrative litigation and legal proceedings.
The fees required for filing property claims in arbitration courts and courts of general jurisdiction have been significantly increased. This also relates to fees for invalidation of public authorities decisions, for conclusion, amendment or termination of contracts claims, and for complaints to higher authorities.
These new regulations came into effect on September 8. However, they apply to cases initiated by claims and complaints filed on or after September 9.
Consequently, for legal entities, the state fee for filing a claim to the decisions of the Appeal Board or a non-use trademark cancellation claim amounts to 50,000 roubles (about 500 EUR) at the moment. For individuals, the fee for filing a claim to the decisions of the Appeal Board is 10,000 roubles (about 100 EUR), and the fee for filing a non-use trademark cancellation claim is 15,000 roubles (about 150 EUR).
